Tyler Schmidt

Founder & Executive Director

Tyler leads The LIT Movement with lived experience, spiritual conviction, and a passion for second chances. As a man in long-term recovery, he brings both grit and grace to the front lines of addiction recovery.

JEN SCHMIDT

Operations Director

Jen serves as co-leader of The LIT Movement, helping oversee daily operations, spiritual support, and resident care. She brings administrative strength, and a heart for seeing men & women restored through Christ-centered recovery.

Steve Berry

Housing Director

Steve serves oversees the structure, safety, and spiritual atmosphere of LIT’s recovery homes. With a heart for accountability and a passion for redemption, Steve ensures every home is a place where transformation can take root.

Britni Purdon

Women's Home Manager

Britni serves as the Women’s Home Manager, where she leads and supports the women’s home with a heart for discipleship and restoration. She is passionate about helping women discover their true identity in Christ and walk in freedom.

Gregory Chasteen

Outreach & Program Development

Gregory leads building bridges between LIT and courts, churches, and treatment centers. Grounded in both strategy and compassion, Gregory helps expand LIT’s reach while strengthening the recovery journey for every resident.

Thomas Luebbe

Chairman

A steady and servant-hearted leader, Tom brings decades of operational wisdom to his role as Chairman of the Board at LIT—since the very beginning he’s stewarded our growth with faith, integrity, and a resolve to helping individuals find freedom from substance abuse.

David Eyrich

Board Member

A deep legal mind with a heart for service, David Eyrich brings decades of nonprofit board experience and wise counsel to LIT’s mission of structured, faith-based recovery.

Thomas E. Seitz, CPA, CEO

Board Member

A seasoned business leader and advocate for mission-driven growth, Tom Seitz brings decades of financial and operational leadership to LIT’s board—linking his marketplace experience to a ministry of second chances.

Carol Dominguez

Board Member

Carol is a real estate professional with a heart for restoration, combining housing expertise with hands-on support to advance LIT’s mission. She also mentors some women in recovery and joins them weekly for Bible study—offering steady presence and faith-filled encouragement.

Larry Kessler

Board Member

Larry is a retired Remodeling Contractor, past president and longtime board member of the National Association of the Remodeling Industry. He currently assists with the LIT Movement’s property development.

Dean Backscheider

Board Member

Dean brings four decades of business leadership from BGR—an industrial packaging company he co-founded— He also plays a key role in advancing LIT’s mission through fundraising and events that fuel both growth and changed lives.
